Agama River Lodge and Camp is situated on the floor of a valley, around a dry riverbed, where delightful shaded campsites offer superb facilities and splendid views of the Naukluft Mountains to the east. The recent addition of comfortable, air-conditioned chalets has widened the appeal of the Lodge to those seeking comfort and amenities. The chalets also offers Guests the unique option of sleeping under the stars of the Namib sky in the privacy of their own rooftop. This roof also serves as a viewing platform for watching the sun’s rays outline the Naukluft Mountains at dawn and perform their magical light show at the end of every stunning desert day.

BüllsPort is an ideal base for extensive hiking, and trips in 4×4 vehicles are offered to Sossusvlei and the Naukluft. Horseback riding is a must for those who want to get close up with the game. The Quiver-tree excursion takes the nature lover on to the NAUKLUFT plateau which is followed by a hike through the largest fountain gorge of this mountain.

Le Mirage is probably the most unique accommodation in the Namib Desert. It is situated a mere 21 km from the Sesriem, entrance gate to Sossusvlei making it one of the closest lodges to Sossusvlei and the ideal place to stay when you want to visit the highest dunes in the world! Moon Mountain Lodge is an ultra-luxury tented lodge ideally located at the foot of the Naukluft Mountains. Large, airy rooms offer all the comforts of a luxury hotel suite with infinite views from your bed or private splash pool. The lodge is situated 56km from Sesriem — the gateway to Sossusvlei, home to the world’s highest dunes and close to the quaint little village of Solitaire. 

Moon Mountain Lodge offers 17 accommodation units each with a private plunge pool. Rooms offer spectacular views of the adjacent mountain ranges or desert landscape. In addition, each unit is individually decorated.  

The Executive Suites feature detached private bathrooms. Bathrooms include separate deep soaking bathtubs and handled showers with rainfall shower heads. The double sinks allow for ample space, as an added convenience, bathrobes are provided.

Guests arrive and are made comfortable at the Couchére and after a welcoming drink, are taken with golf carts over the bridge to the chalets. 
The stylish, private accommodation consists of 15 generously spaced tastefully furnished chalets, each with private bathroom and covered outside viewing deck.

The dining, lounge and bar area open onto spacious split level pool deck and fire pit areas in close proximity of the natural rock pool. The plan of the dining and lounge makes provision for “private” areas to accommodate small groups, with a 360° view onto the granite boulders which are lit at night.

The main areas are designed for relaxation and comfort with a friendly atmosphere and guests can enjoy our famous sundowner with a view onto Brandberg Mountain.

Accommodation at Kulala Desert Lodge consists of 23 thatched “kulalas” (the word means ‘to sleep’) which are specially adapted to the unique desert conditions, built on a platform to ensure maximum airflow; an extended thatch roof provides a cool respite from the sun. Each kulala has a rooftop ‘skybed’ for romantic stargazing, so guests can choose to sleep under the open skies when weather is great (which is most nights). 

Desert-adapted wildlife such as ostrich, springbok and gemsbok eke out an existence in this arid environment and are sparsely distributed around Kulala. Desert Lodge. Smaller creatures such as bat-eared fox and aardwolf can be seen at night in the cool desert air. One bird, the aptly-named dune lark, has its entire global distribution limited to the area, so dependent is it on the area’s characteristic sands.
