Day 1 | Monday

FISH RIVER CANYON

Leaving Windhoek, we fly in a south-westerly direction and along the edge of the Kalahari Desert to the spectacular Nama Karoo. Our lodge for the night is set directly on the rim of the Fish River Canyon, the 2nd largest of its kind on Earth, offering you spectacular views of the Canyon and the sunsets here.
Canyon Lodge – Dinner

Day 2 & 3 | Tuesday & Wednesday

SOSSUSVLEI

At breakfast we view into the Fish River Canyon, a 550 meter deep chasm created by the shifting of tectonic plates and erosion. After a nature drive on the lodge property we fly west towards the coastal Namib Desert and can enjoy a bird’s eye view of the canyon.

The Namib is the oldest desert on Earth, accentuated by silent giants of gleaming sand.

These star dunes, whose shapes can best be admired from the air, twist like tendrils towards the world’s highest dunes that form the magnificent Sossusvlei. On day (2) an open vehicle excursion takes us to Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei, a symphony of sand turning into an orchestra of burnished colours as the gigantic desert waves are painted from red through orange by the rising sun.
Sossusvlei Lodge – Breakfast and Dinner

Day 4 | Thursday

SWAKOPMUND

Leaving the majestic dune landscape behind, we travel over towering mountain ranges, rugged canyons and endless desert plains to Swakopmund.

After our arrival in this idyllic coastal town we have some leisure time at our disposal. Dinner can be enjoyed in one of the excellent restaurants the coastal town has to offer.
Hotel Zum Kaiser – Breakfast

Day 5 | Friday

DAMARALAND

We travel to Walvis Bay to enjoy a marine cruise. Fur seals and aquatic birds will join us on board whilst we enjoy some sparkling wine and oysters, but we may also see dolphins, leather backed turtles or even a seasonal whale.

Our journey proceeds into Damaraland, an area marked by steep mountain massifs that tower over meandering riverbeds.
Twyfelfontein Country Lodge – Breakfast and Dinner

Day 6 | Saturday

ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

Today we visit one of the most spectacular outdoor art exhibitions in the world at the World Heritage Site of Twyfelfontein. Our visit is followed by a short flight to our next lodge, situated at the entrance of the Etosha National Park.
